Professional Development The professional development of participants has been a central feature of the ILT Project since its inception. The rationale for this derives from the belief that each participant has unique talents and potential that can be nurtured, with the ultimate aim of supporting the project's aims of improving teaching and learning. Surveys completed by course participants have revealed a very favourable response to the training and learning opportunites offered by the project. DeBono Training Under the auspices of the In-Career Development Unit of the Department of Education, in 2004, an online course linking centres in Dublin and Limerick focused on the application of thinking skills in the curriculum. The course focused on the DeBono thinking skills and techniques. The course linked the centres in CRC, Dublin and St. Gabriel's in Limerick. Whiteboard Training In 2005, again through the In-Career Development Unit of the Department of Education, a course on the integration of interactive whiteboards was delivered to teachers in CRC school and other interested teachers. The course was organised and run by the ICT Advisor working in close cooperation with the ILT project (Watch Video Here (3.5MB))
